Potential Benefits of Therapeutic Bodywork

Asian Bodywork Therapy & Therapeutic Massage

Asian Bodywork Therapy

Asian Bodywork Therapy (ABT) promotes, maintains, and restores physical, emotional, mental, energetic and spiritual health by treating the individual within the "qi and meridian" principles of Chinese Medicine, through various assessments, treatment strageties and bodywork techniques.

The forms of Asian Bodywork Therapy offered at the Source Point Institute include Shiatsu, Tuina, Cupping, and Guasha. These forms of ABT involve subtle stretching, range of motion, joint mobilization, palpation techniques and pressure applied along meridians and on acupoints. All of these techniques influence the qi/energy flow in the body.
